Hey party people!  Here’s some things about The Wedding:

GETTING THERE:

If you are coming into Capitola on that Saturday, keep in mind that the traffic in and around the local beach communities can be heinous on the weekend. No matter which direction you’re coming from, give yourself enough time to get there by noon.  If you’ll be driving into town from the north, we recommend you come in the “back way” from Highway 1 and avoid downtown Santa Cruz.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

We did NOT reserve bulk hotel rooms for The Wedding; it was just a little more than we could take on, sorry.  However there is tons of lodging in Capitola as well as the neighboring towns of Aptos, Soquel, and Santa Cruz, in a variety of price ranges.  And if you’re coming from the Bay Area, you don’t even need lodging if you don’t want!  We intentionally chose a location that wouldn’t require an overnight.

We are staying at a house right across the creek from the restaurant, and will be there through the weekend.  We would love for folks to stream through and visit there after the wedding on Saturday or Sunday, but are also sensitive to the fact that we shouldn’t really have a Big Ole Rager in this nice rental home, so …. uh …. it’s a quandary.  Well, let’s all try and be nice ladies & gents, and hopefully everything will work out.

STUFF:

To continue in our apparent new tradition of NOT doing things, we also are not registered anywhere.  We have a bunch of crap already, and hey, honestly, we’re at the age when it’s probably time to start getting rid of stuff, not collecting it.   Here’s some things we like, though, if you’re interested in spending some dollars on our behalf:

• the ACLU,  Planned Parenthood, Mother Jones and Rocket Dog Rescue.
• Our yet to be established honeymoon fund for yet to be established honeymoon plans.  UPDATE!  Honeymoon plans established!  They involve a campervan and wandering around the Lost Coast.  But we’re not gonna set up an online funding page for that, it’s too annoying.  You can donate toward that if you like, but we’re gonna do it old-skool style, which means you’d get to awkwardly hand us a check.  Or cash.  Or your ATM card.
• Stuff from Stuff
• Ringware or Russell Wright things from Bauer Pottery , or literally anything from  Le Creuset.   Pete cooks a lot and Jenee likes to eat it all on nice dinnerware.
